Foreigner Friends Give Upvotes to TPC’s Responsibility in the Fight against the NPC
TPC recently received a silk banner from Sino-German Union of Industrial and Educational Integration in Vocational Education as well as two letters from Laos and Krirk University (Thailand) with great gratitude to TPC’s anti-epidemic contribution made in the prevention and control of the NPC. A thank-you letter from Education and Sports Department of Luang Namtha Province, Laos, said, “Today, with much excitement, I have great admiration for the leadership, teaching faculty and students of TPC in the fight against the NPC.”
In order to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important directives and instructions on epidemic prevention and control and accord with the requirements of the Party Central Committee and Guizhou provincial government and party committee, a leading group for foreign affairs was established by the Party Committee of TPC. The leading group took a series of measures to protect health and safety of overseas teaching faculty and students as well as international students in the domestic, assuring the campus safe and stable. Under the leadership of TPC, teaching faculty and students were standing bravely on the front line of epidemic prevention without fear of danger and hardship. Yang Chunguang, secretary of TPC Party Committee, and Zhang Jingchun, president of TPC, checked and guided international students’ epidemic prevention in the students’ dormitory immediately, extending warm regards to the students. Additionally, the leadership asked and helped them with their study, life, water and electricity of their dormitory, physical and mental health, etc. As for the teaching faculty staying overseas, the leadership also conveyed greetings to them and their families at home so that they could sense the warmth and kindness of TPC.
The measures and deeds taken in the epidemic prevention set up outstanding image for TPC. The silk banner and thank-you letters, from institute both abroad and at home, obviously recognize TPC’s efforts in epidemic prevention and ability to run and administer the school.
In recent years, TPC actively supports “The Belt and Road Initiative” and polices of education opening-up to the outside world. Thus, TPC’s international education level, quality of vocational education and level of social services have been greatly improved. TPC has cultivated above 500 international talents with “Chinese and technical skills” from 40 countries in Asia, Europe and Africa since it began to received international students. In addition, TPC has signed agreement with more than 50 schools from UK, Germany, Malaysia, Russia, Laos, Nepal, Myanmar, Indonesia, etc. and established Laos Overseas Campus and China-Thailand Cultural Exchange Center so that it brings high quality of resources for vocational education to ASEAN and “The Belt and Road” countries and leads sustainable, rapid and healthy development of international education in Guizhou.
