Experiencing the culture of Tujia People and Visiting the most beautiful Yinjiang River

      On September 9, 33 overseas students from School of International Education was invited by the Bureau of Culture and Tourism in Yinjiang County to take part in the Tourism Marketing Conference. It was hosted by the government of the County with the theme of “Experiencing the Culture of Tujia People and Visiting the Most Beautiful Yinjiang River”.

      They started from the county and visited Ziwei town which is famous for its crape myrtle tree. The party enjoyed that old, big, precious and rare tree by touching and taking photos of it.

      In Tuanlong ethnic culture village, the overseas students tried the wine of Tujia people and received the hospitality of Tujia ethnic minority group. Besides, they appreciated the national intangible cultural heritage, drank the local tea and made the glutinous rice cake. The friendly interaction brought closer of the people from different countries and culture.

      After that they visited a special place called Shiban village. The students experienced the wedding custom of the local people. At last they enjoyed the delicious food on a long table with the elderly, the children, men and women sitting around.
